These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our services and the booking of any of our MTB tours. By booking a tour with New Zealand Single Track Adventures, you agree to these terms, so please read them carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Booking and Payment

  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount varies depending on the tour and will be specified during the booking process.
  • Final Payment: The balance of the tour price is due 60 days before the tour start date. Bookings made within 60 days of the tour start date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit card and bank transfer. Detailed payment instructions will be provided during the booking process.
  • Booking Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit or full payment (if within 60 days of the tour). You will receive a confirmation email with all necessary details for your trip.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations by the Participant:
    • Cancellations made more than 60 days before the tour start date will receive a refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable deposit.
    • Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days before the tour start date will receive a 50% refund of the total tour price.
    • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour start date are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations by New Zealand Single Track Adventures:
    • We reserve the right to cancel a tour if the minimum participant number is not met or if unforeseen circumstances make the tour unsafe or impractical. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund, including the deposit, or may choose to transfer to another tour.

Changes to Itinerary

  • Unforeseen Circumstances: New Zealand Single Track Adventures reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or other factors beyond our control.
  • Participant Flexibility: While we strive to maintain the planned itinerary, participants must be flexible and understand that changes may be necessary to ensure safety and an optimal experience.
  • Notification: Any significant changes to the itinerary will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.

Participant Responsibilities

  • Fitness and Skill Level: Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet the fitness and technical skill level required for the chosen tour. Descriptions of each tour’s difficulty level are provided on our website.
  • Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance that covers mountain biking and potential medical emergencies is mandatory for all participants.
  • Health and Safety: Participants must disclose any medical conditions or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. Participants are also responsible for bringing necessary personal medications.
  • Compliance: Participants must follow the instructions of the guides at all times during the tour. Failure to comply with safety instructions may result in the participant being removed from the tour without a refund.

Liability

  • Limited Liability: New Zealand Single Track Adventures is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the tour unless caused by our negligence.
  • Assumption of Risk: Mountain biking and adventure activities carry inherent risks. By participating in our tours, participants acknowledge and accept these risks.
  • Third-Party Providers: We work with trusted third-party providers (e.g., accommodations, transport services) to deliver certain aspects of our tours. While we carefully select these providers, we are not liable for their actions or omissions.

Privacy Policy

  • Data Collection: We collect personal information necessary for the booking and operation of our tours, including names, contact details, and payment information.
  • Data Use: Your information is used to process bookings, communicate with you about your tour, and provide customer support. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as required for the operation of the tour or by law.
  • Data Security: We take appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from the use of our services or these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
